I never realized or even considered the impact of one's self-talk and the statistic that says a large majority of everybody's self talk is mostly negative. I recognize that my own self talk has been mostly negative and that it is going to be a challenge to reverse this and change it to positive self-talk. It's already one of my new goals as a result of this class.

David Magistrelli with Strategies Unlimited provided what I believe to have been valuable and exceptional guidance, strategy and insight to me personally and to the personnel in the facility in which I work. Before Strategy Unlimited many people were very dissatisfied with the working conditions. Simple communication between workers seemed to be non-existent, role responsibilities were scattered and mismanaged, a belief had developed that we didn't have control of our organization ans stress levels were very high. This created an apathetic, inefficient and defensive work environment. Strategies Unlimited helped to lower and in some areas even eliminate those negative attributes.
David helped me understand the complex diversity of people in the work environment and how to interact with the diverse personalities. I also noticed this through out the organization. Understanding the diversity in the work place and learning how to effectively communicate was vital to continuing success. Furthermore, based off of the diverse personalities Strategies Unlimited created a strategy to more effectively manage personnel staffing by way of realignment and defining roles and responsibilities that best fit our personal strengths and ultimately the needs of the organization. David worked with the upper management and helped them understand these needs and strengths and how to communicate more effectively with personnel. He also helped the organization focus on things within our control instead of spending extra time and energy on those things in which we falsely believed we should have had control over.
Though these processes and guidance from Strategies Unlimited the organization changed from the high stress and defensive work environment to an organization with an alignment of strength, efficiency and control. The guidance, strategy and insight provided by Strategies Unlimited made this organization do as the catch phrase says. It made us "Think Differently."
